Corky, (great to see you---I'm liking the green shirt) I'm really glad for his freakishness as well!
It's been a comfort to many people, I suspect, for many reasons, at one time or another in their lives.

Wow! Just recently my best friend- moved/lives about 2 hours away- had been having a David Byrne obsession and was sending me cd comps peppered with his stuff- this one included. I love this song; he's such a free thinker and amusingly nutty from an interview (Red, Hot, and Blue project) I've seen. He did a recent track with Thievery Corporation on their recent album.

I love this song as well for so many, many reasons...and I like the fact that he et. al. were art majors back in the day.
It's too funny that your friend has been sending lots of Byrne....
Seems as if synchronicity is the order of the day over here at my place...
